ViziLite -- The quick test that can save your life.
Originally designed for screening for cervical cancer, VizilitePlus is the first reliable test to screen for oral cancer.

Our practice uses a clinical exam every six months as well as an annual VizilitePlus screening. We strongly recommend the screening be done all adults over age 40 as well as any tobacco user over age 18. The test is painless and takes just a few minutes. Some practitioners believe that rise in oral cancers in non smokers is related to the same virus that can cause cervical cancers in women. Women who have been diagnosed with HPV should be screened with vizilite annually.

WHAT DOES THE TEST INVOLVE?

It's simple, first a patient swishes for 30 seconds with a special rinse. After the rinse the tissues are evaluated with a special light that shows changes in their color. It's that simple, swish and inspect. Should a suspicious area be found, a non-invasive brush biopsy will be immediately done and sent to a laboratory for analysis.
